Trey Mancini was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in March 2020 during a routine spring training physical. As a beloved member of the Baltimore Orioles since 2013, this dealt a devastating blow to the franchise, the fans and the Mancini family. 

Trey missed the entire 2020 baseball season while he fought cancer through surgery and chemotherapy. After he “rang the bell” to close the chapter on his treatments, he opened a new chapter—the Trey Mancini Foundation. 

 

Since 2021, the Foundation has provided support to individuals and families facing cancer treatments, food insecurity and other hardships as well as provided enhanced learning and sports opportunities to teachers, students and young athletes.

 

 

Trey Mancini Foundation Golf Invitational

January 29, 2024 – Winter Haven Country Club

 

We’re thrilled to announce the Trey Mancini Foundation Golf Invitational will be held in Winter Haven, Florida, on January 29.

 

Get ready to visit with Trey, have fun, play golf and help the Trey Mancini Foundation hit a “Grand Slam of Support” to benefit the causes he cares about and in his hometowns of Winter Haven and Lake Wales, Florida, and in Baltimore.

YOU Can Help US – Help OTHERS in Need

 

Monies raised during the Golf Invitational will support:

 

• The Mission of Winter Haven to help alleviate food insecurity and provide other services

• Funding a sports field at Four Corners Charter School in Davenport, which currently leases a field 31 miles away

• Establishing a fund to help cancer patients with bills during their treatments

• “Blessings in a Backpack” at Brooklyn O’Malley Boys & Girls Club in Baltimore sends children home with a backpack full of food for their family each weekend.
